The third edition of PwC's SEE Finance Maturity Assessment has been launched

3rd CFO Compass Survey  Are you ready to benchmark your finance function and lead your organisation through the next wave of transformation? Today, AI and regulatory transitions are constantly reshaping the landscape in which finance professionals operate. For the third consecutive year, PwC’s SEE CFO Compass Survey invites finance leaders to share their perspectives on the most pressing challenges and opportunities, and to act on these insights to accelerate progress. 

The survey results will provide a comprehensive summary of financial professionals' views on critical business matters, strategic priorities and key value drivers.

By taking part in the asessment, CFOs will be able to streamline their organisation toward success, benchmark it to theirs peers in the industry across SEE and drive growth.

The deadline for completing the survey is 30 November 2025. 

This year, we place special focus on three critical areas shaping the future of business: Control environment and System integration Agentic, Analytic and Predictive AI: The next frontier in finance Digital resilience and cybersecurity   Control environment and System integration Last year's results from our CFO Compass Survey underscored the importance of establishing a robust control environment as a top priority for finance leaders in SEE. Digitalisation continues to reshape control environments by facilitating decentralised organisational structures, cross-functional collaboration and strict segregation of duties.

In this edition of the survey, we aim to delve deeper into these themes and assess the progress made by finance leaders in integrating these elements into their control environments. 

  Agentic, Analytic and Predictive AI: The next frontier in finance Artificial intelligence is transforming finance functions, extending beyond automation to include advanced analytics and intelligent decision-making. This year’s survey explores in greater depth the adoption of AI tools and the emergence of agentic AI, enabling you to benchmark your digital maturity and readiness for the future.

  Digital resilience and cybersecurity As organisations face growing cyber threats and operational disruptions, CFOs play a key role in safeguarding financial data and ensuring business continuity. Focusing on digital resilience enables finance leaders to proactively manage risks, protect assets, and maintain stakeholder trust.

Our survey will explore these crucial topics providing valuable insights to help CFOs strengthen their organisation’s defences and build resilience that powers their way forward.

 

Complete the CFO Compass Survey Click here Who is the CFO Compass Survey for? The survey is being conducted in the SEE region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia) for the third consecutive year. 

It seeks input from CFOs, finance managers, finance directors, chief accountants, and other key decision-makers within finance functions regarding their perspectives. 

Last year, finance leaders from approximately 150 companies across more than 15 industries took part in our assessment.

Respondents have the exclusive opportunity to receive a personalised report and compare their results with those of other participants.
